Bad Experience of the Cascades

The property was an electrical hazard. It was not clean and we had no hot water due to a leaking tap. We were made aware of the leak an hour before we booked in and they said it would be fixed the next day. What they did not tell us was that we would have no hot water and the leak was so bad that we had to use towels to stop the bathroom floor flooding. We moved out after one night. The place was terrible.

DO NOT BOOK THIS LISTING, IT IS A SCAM!!!

My stay was non-existant, and the number listed just rang the entire time. This advert is a scam so whatever you do guys, DO NOT BOOK THIS FLAT. I got there and called the number, and answer. So security gives me the number of the flats owner, and I call him, so he asks me to send the Confirmation, which I do, and he tells me that this is not his listing, and not his flat in the pics and he is sorry but he cannot help. I tried calling Hotels.com support in the UK and kept waiting on an endless operator looped International call. It was pathetic joke though, and I ended up having to fork out another nights accommodation after this which just ruined my evening.

I was not booked and I have not been refunded. When I arrived on the 4 Feb there was no one to take me in. I had to look for alternative accommodation elsewhere. When I came the following day I was told that the place was overbooked yet I had already paid the money on line .

Wonderful building, an architectural gem!

The room is spacious with huge windows providing a nice view of Cape Town. I guess this building must have been built in the 50-60s.It is a little run down, but this was not an issue for me. I would definitely stay there again

Everything about the stay was great; service cleanliness and walking distance to everything! You have to enjoy walking or be willing to put in the miles. The juice bar just around the corner is awesome! Do it-- stay here. Only drawback for me was the wifi was not accessible, I don't know much about the local service always on. Seems it just didn't work.

The Cascades is a reasonable place to stay should you require a place to sleep and then travel. The price is affordable compared to similar establishments in Cape Town and walking distance to the Stadium.

Gedateerd appartement

Erg simpel appartement in een groot complex. Inrichting is erg gedateerd en de badkamer en de keuken waren niet erg schoon. Er was een klein balkonnetje, maar zonder stoel o.i.d. Slechte prijs kwaliteit verhouding, je betaalt veel te veel voor wat je krijgt. Ik zou hier niet opnieuw willen verblijven.

You writ internet is free in every room, but you have to pay , 50R per hour, in every internet cafe you pay 10R. The bed is very small, the reception th half time not occupied

This is a 40 year old building thathasnot been renovated. Many absentee owners, apt 511 had kithcen cbinets falling off he walls, refrigerator did not woark correctly, shoeer dripped. Street work at night with construction noise, and apartment ustairs was beig renovated from 8 AM until 6 PM ech day with jackhammers etc. Staff ws helpful;it was safe butunacceptable. No internet except for a hotspost service you rented yourself and which did not work.

Cape Town Getaway..

A very comfortable condo with all the necessary amenities and very clean. The neighborhood is great. Close to many stores and restaurants. My only suggestion is that they should install safety bars in the bathtub. Otherwise everything is fine. Had a lovely time.
