"The updates being done during the renovation are looking good. Our room had a king bed and full-size bunks...all quite comfortable. The kids loved the bunks! The room was nice and clean (still had a bit of the fresh paint smell, but it wasn’t horrible). The location is great, lots of chairs on the beach and the pool (not open yet) looked cute. "Unknown to us, the hotel was undergoing renovations. The multiple dumpsters and construction vehicles littered throughout the property was disruptive to what we thought was going to a coastal-calm get away. Lobby area and our room had surface updates but the age and bones of the building were still evident. Elevator had glued on carpet tiles on the walls. We had opted for the second level tier room (not the Basic room) and had to question if we were assigned the right room when the extra big...
