Loreto Palm Villa: 17 en-suite AC rooms with on-site restaurant

Every room here is a world of its own. You get a bedroom and a private en-suite bathroom that belongs to you alone - no shared facilities down a corridor, no waiting your turn in the morning. Lock your door and the day is yours.

There are seventeen rooms in all, and they are deliberately consistent, so you are not gambling on which one you are given. Sixteen have a queen bed and one has a double, which suits a solo traveller nicely. Each room has air conditioning and a ceiling fan, so you can set the temperature the way you like it. There is a TV, and a fridge already stocked with cold bottled water for you. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided, and your door locks.

Your bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, vanity mirror and soap. Fifteen of the rooms have an electric water heater for hot showers; two are still waiting on theirs, so let us know if hot water matters to you and we will place you in one that has it.

When it comes to eating, there is a restaurant on site, so a meal is only a short walk from your door. If you would rather cook, there are fully equipped kitchens available to guests, including a dedicated one beside the restaurant. Kettles are not kept in the rooms as standard, but we have them - just ask and we will bring one up.

Two honest notes. High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi is being installed and will be live soon, but until then the internet here is limited, so plan around it if you need to work online. And while there are no dryers in the rooms, leave your laundry with us and we will have it taken care of.

Cape Coast is a rewarding place to wake up in - the castle and its museums, the working fishing harbour, beaches along the coast, and Kakum National Park close enough for a day trip. Whatever you do with the day, you have a quiet, private room to come back to at the end of it.
