"Situated on a hilltop, the accommodation has an overlooked of downtown St. Denis. Catherine and Philip were such amazing hosts! Very accomodating and helpful. The location is perfect if yoy prefer peaceful and quiet for relaxation. The bus stop is is nearby so if you want to go downtown you can just jump into the 12 line. I very much recommend L'escapade Bellepierre, would live to stay there again when i visit the island next time."

"While the staff is very pleasant and the property clean, there is almost no internet speed, the area around the hotel is made up of apartment and thus noisy late at night with kids shouting. There is only 1 small restaurant at walking distance. You need car to get to beach and the pics from hotel misleading. i would recommend hotel for 1 to 2 day max, not 15 like we book and we left 2 days in our stay but hotel refused the refund (as per policy)"

"Spacious, well appointed rooms with well stocked kitchen area. Situated on the lagoon where you xan swim. Pool did get a little busy, used mainly by families but generally managed to get sunbed on the beach. Staff were exceptionally halpful and friendly, making us feel very welcome."

"Beau petit hôtel rénové, intimiste, design. Bonne cuisine en restauration, personnel disponible. Convient aux personnes cherchant un confort minimal à un tarif abordable, en pleine ville. Dommage pour la piscine non chauffée côté adulte en période hivernale, elle est fraîche ! Et le vis à vis direct sur les autres chambres en terrasse, mais c’est la configuration de l’hôtel qui est ainsi. Store disponible évidemment. On a passé un bon moment. "

"It’s a good location and the breakfast was excellent. It could do with a bit of tlc and if you want to use the rooftop jacuzzi, make sure you book in advance. Also worth checking what day you are going to be in Cilous as eating options are extremely limited on a Monday."

The Otroiza hotel is a perfect location to base one's self while exploring this magical spot. "Excellent breakfast, lots of drink choices and smoothies. Pool was great, didn’t have any challenges getting a sunbed. The rooms were super clean, we didn’t see a single bug (which we were expecting). Had a gecko in the room who lived behind our tv who may have managed the bug situation. Buffet was good but limited selection if you are, or have, a picky eater."

fantastic stay

"we were very happy in this hotel. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast tasty even for us - vegans/vegetarians, we especially liked the fried beans and daily potatoes in skin. Centraly located in downtown St. Denis just a few steps away from the ocean. Free drinks at the lobby were very much appreciated. Would love to come back ane day."

BEST HOTEL STAY!

"My stay was marvellous. I added my boyfriend to the stay but he couldn’t make it due to documentation and I had completely forgot about it, upon arrival the room was decorated with rose petals and a fruit hamper style plate which I LOVED. I really appreciated the touch even though my boyfriend couldn’t make it, this helped put a smile on what was a disastrous day. All the ladies at reception well kind, helpful and accommodating. I can not wait to visit again and this time for longer. "
