"We had a great 3 night stay in Borgo Marino Plemmirio! Nice rooms with airconditioning and decent kitchen. The swimming pool is very nice with see views and even the Etna in the background!
Very close to this somewhat isolated location is a fantastic little beach (Spiaggia Massolivieri). It is the nicest beach we have been to in Italy!
Also the old town of Syracusa is a must-go-to."
"We chose to stay at this hotel because it was just outside of town and had a pool. The ground of the hotel are beautiful, and the pool was perfect in the extreme heat. My only issue was the location. It is a 15 minute drive to the center of Siracusa, and if you don't have a car, you are forced to pay 30 euros each way. There is no public transportation, and it is very difficult to get to any of the nearby beaches on foot."
"Good location, just outside the busy Siracuse. Close to the beach and with good options for restaurants only 4 km away. Staff friendly and helpful, confortable bed and plenty of parking."
"This is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. Lorenzo at the front desk was the nicest person giving us great dinner recommendations.
The view from the room was incredible.Location is great."

Villa With Pool Near The Sea.Syracuse, Plemmirio, Arenella,Fontane Bianche
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed during peak season in August for 7nights and we had a fantastic stay! The house is clean, spacious, modern, great WiFi and aircon. The kitchen is very well equipped, the pool is lovely and the areas around it, great for relaxing. Location is fantastic as a base for exploring the island. We travelled to Ortigia, Noto, Modica, many beaches including Fontane Bianche, San Lorenzo, Arenella & Avola.Salvos was on hand to help with anything we needed, he recommended some wonderful restaurants which he booked for us. He even cooked us a wonderful dinner one evening and is just a genuinely kind hearted person. Do not hesitate to book Salvos’ property, you will not regret it. Thank you Salvos, we wish you all the best for the future "
"Fabulous time here! Could have stayed longer. So comfortable and the staff were so helpful. Breakfast was gorgeous. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to a friend! "
Sicilian farmhouse from the 19th Century - close to the beach and with a large pool
10/10 Excellent
"It was quite an amazing and unique.Beautiful large accodation with lots of areas to either meet or have quite time. The pool a definate bonus which the children loved as did we. Abbi who manages and takes care of is lovely and works so hard to keep all areas clean and tidy.Had a wonderful time with my daughter and two grand sons. The pizza place down the road on the water is fantastic. Little and made by elderly gent. Small but obviously popular. Many Thanks. We only just got home."
Beautiful detached house with private pool near the sea.
10/10 Excellent
"The villa is traditional and rustic, everything worked well - air con, Wi-Fi, Shower and bathroom facs, comfortable firm beds and pillows, dishwasher and washing machine and the best bit about this villa is the outdoor space - dining area outside in good shade, wonderful pool and terrace areas to enjoy the fantastic views of Plemmirio Syracuse area. Short drive to Arenella beach (10mins). Lidl - short drive to outskirts of Syracuse. Local grocery store a 8min walk down the hill on roadside - breads and pastries, cheese and ham, drinks. In close proximity of the sea, need a car to drive there as no direct path access to walk to sea access. We had a mixture of chill out days in the villa and beach time at Arenella. Bed and parasol at beach is overpriced as the Italians have already expressed in news reports, but the villa has a good parasol you can take to the beach. If you want to eat out be prepared for a drive to places, there are a couple of local beach resort restaurants but as there are no paths on roadsides it’s safer to drive. Uber service available. "
"The resort is set in magnificent grounds , surrounded by farmland.
It has a beautiful swimming pool and easy access to the beach ( which is pebbles—-but beautiful sand and water once you wade out)"
