The best time to visit The King's Kilometre is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) when the weather is generally pleasant and the crowds are more manageable.During these shoulder seasons, you'll find comfortable temperatures for exploring the historic streets and attractions without the peak summer rush. The gardens are often in full bloom in late spring, and the autumn colours add a beautiful backdrop to the ancient architecture. This makes it an ideal time for couples looking for a romantic getaway or solo travellers wanting a relaxed, unhurried trip. The summer months of July and August offer the warmest weather and the longest daylight hours, which is great for families with school-aged children. However, this is also the busiest time, so you can expect more visitors and potentially higher prices for accommodation. Many outdoor events and festivals take place during this period, offering plenty of entertainment. While winter (November-April) can be colder and wetter, it offers a quieter experience with fewer tourists and often lower prices.
