"Minimal services due to off season. A/C in room was very noisy. Dumpster located beneath room window(view), which of course was emptied at 6:00 am. Very secure location"

Hutch 1- 2 Min Walk to Slopes, Great Mountain View
8/10 Good
"The only thing I did not like was the check in time of 5pm. That is really late. I asked for an earlier time but they had an issue and had renters checking out that day. They may have accomodated me otherwise. I love the places that are walking distance to the village, and the round houses are just fun. Beautiful views. And if you are lucky you might get to see military jets come through on maneuvers from Virginia Beach which is really amazing to experience."

Cozy Mountain Getaway! Mid Week Discounts as Low as 250/night for Ski season
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay. We came up for a brief stay to drop off/pick up kids from camp. Host was very accommodating and let us have a last minute very late check out when my youngest woke up very sick the day we were supposed to leave. House is cozy. No AC but it is on a lower level and it was cool the weekend we were there. Parking is easy. Property is nice to walk around. There are some great walking paths and a lovely hike around the lake. We saw lots of deer and groundhogs! There was a musical festival going on the weekend we were there but we could not hear music in the house. Overall lovely weekend."
Private Tiny Cabin & Mountain Hiking!
10/10 Excellent
"What a treat and just what we needed. We have highly demanding jobs and needed a place to unplug & get away. This property allowed us to recharge. We planned ahead & took enough food so that we did not have to leave for 5 days & what a treat it was! The location is very remote and private with very little outside noise. It was great just to wake up to bird song and nature. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire with good books & no TV. The cabin itself is furnished with everything you may need. Immaculate & very comfortable. There are several additional touches throughout which show the thought put into making it a comfortable stay. They have thought of everything. The trails are maintained & offer viewing vistas, places to reflect & explore. Sidewinder and Steepside are NO JOKE. My husband hiked the trails 2x daily doing the full loop. He never saw anyone else on the trails but did encounter wildlife. Numerous rabbits, birds, deer & bear were sighted. While doing the trail just as you come down Steepside there is an apple tree. As he was jogging down, he startled a black bear who was up in the tree gorging on apples. The bear fell out of the tree and of course ran down the trail that my husband was continuing down on. Don't know who scared who more but it made for a great memory! Also saw a bear just strolling along across the creek from the cabin. My husband wasn't bothered by bugs but if your mosquito sexy (like me) bring some bug spray. Five stars"
