"A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours."

"The views are breathtaking. The cuisine is exquisite, prepared with love and regional ingredients combined in the most delightfully curious ways by Chef Antonio Minichiello. He even came out to say hello towards the meal's end. The wine is world class, as is the staff. Everyone we encountered (esp. Maria, Martina, and others) was polylingual and so helpful, sweet and lovely. We loved it so much we stayed an extra day."

She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Modestina was amazing too, and she has such a beautiful singing voice! I don't remember the name of the gentleman who made the coffee every morning, but I already miss his delicious coffee! I'm planning to come back because I had such a wonderful vacation.
