"This place is 35 minutes out of town with a very old rundown road, very old facilities (20 plus years old ) and it shows , 1st day I reported a very bad smell in the room(sewage) and their suggestion was to spray air freshener, by the way nobody return to spray nothing) 1st day you were attacked by a group to sell time share vacation packages , and was told I was not permitted to use the lazy river or any of the swimming pools around if I didn't”t go to the presentation . My Grandauther’s were already exited about it so I was obligated to do it. I was determined to enjoy my time and for my girls to enjoy the trip so we did the best of it . Only one restaurant available for dinner with a very limited menu and not very good ( my salmon was laterally raw in the middle) on a good note the majority of the employees were really nice and friendly working with a lot of limitations . This place was expensive and not worth the price. We will NOT come back or recommend it ! Description on the site is not detail to tell you are not getting the apartment on the pictures or there are restrictions on the usage of the facilities"
Mayan Palace Home, Private pool - Full Resort Privilege's with Lazy River!
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was pretty easy, check in/out, etc. We’ve stayed in a lot of places in Puerto Peñasco and this was easily top 5. The house is nicely put together - didn’t feel we were missing anything. The rooftop patio was really nice. Access to the Mayan Palace was great. Property manager was super responsive. We were there with another adult couple, however the house is setup for families and could easily accommodate more. You are only about a 25ish min drive from town. The Mayan is a 5 min drive from the house. The beach here is the best in Puerto Peñasco. There are no vendors allowed, it is sandy instead of rocky, and you can explore the estuary. It was about a 6 mi round trip to walk from the Mayan all the way down to the estuary and back. This was a highlight - depending on the tides and time of day you can hop across sandbars and be standing in the middle of the sea. There was a ton of wildlife and shells. The food at the Mayan is great and the Vidanta golf course is the best golf in Puerto Peñasco. Food and drink costs at the Mayan are NOT outrageous. The breakfast buffet there was amazing. Service was fantastic -the bellman even fixed one of our headlights! Mayan also has a lot of free activities they put on during the day like sand volleyball, beach soccer, Mexican lottery, etc. Internet at the house worked well. Only downside was that we couldn’t get internet access at the Mayan as that is reserved for guests, but cell service was good. Would 100% stay again. "
"The beach house at Playa Miramar is beautiful! It was nice to have a laundry area in the house and even better to have an ice maker! Fantastic views of the Sea of Cortez right out the front door and just a short walk to the Grand Mayan Resort a little way down the beach. Plenty of room to spread out and relax and soooo many sea shells! The house was well stocked with bath towels, kitchen utensils and cookware. Grill on the covered patio while enjoying an amazing sunset! If the beach isn't your thing you can relax in front of the big screen TV with the internet connection, we streamed our favorite apps. It is an easy commute into Puerto Penasco! Booking was a breeze and communication with the property manager was great! She was conscientious and responded to questions and requests promptly. We will definitely come back and will be telling our family and friends about this little destination hideaway outside of Puerto Penasco! Until next time....."
