Genie House is a spacious family and pet-friendly retreat just a short stroll from Byron Bay’s beaches, cafés, and town. Children and pets can play safely in the fully fenced yard while you unwind on the deck or enjoy a relaxed BBQ.

Inside, the home offers bright, comfortable spaces designed for easy family living. With three inviting bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and an open-plan lounge and dining area, it’s a place where everyone can settle in and relax. Whether you’re here for beach days, local markets, or a laid-back getaway, Genie House is the perfect base to rest, connection and relaxation.

Genie House is a peaceful retreat, and we kindly ask guests to respect the tranquillity of the neighbourhood by avoiding loud music or behaviour that may disturb neighbours.

Please note: Genie House does not accommodate Schoolies, school leavers, or hens and bucks party groups.

Fantastic stay - great location

We loved our stay at Genie's in the comfortable and clean home. Our small dog loved the garden and we found the location very convenient and would not hesitate to book again.

Beautiful house in a great location

House is beautiful, beds were supremely comfortable. House was well provisioned. The location is perfect. The cafe/grocer around the corner is one of the best we have been to.

Perfect location and home away from home

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Bryon Bay, the house was just perfect for all our needs. Jeannie was extremely accommodating and the best part is that we could bring our son’s therapy dog. We will definitely return again.

A Byron Beauty

This cottage was beautifully appointed with plenty of space for 3 adult couples & 1 fur baby. Lovely front fenced yard was enjoyed by our daughter’s dog. Jeannie was easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic location

Perfect stay for our family visiting Byron Bay for the first time. Grocer basically across the road and restaurants within walking distance. We were traveling with 2 kids and small dog - I would love to come back and spend longer at this property. House was well equipped including beach towels and very clean.

You can’t ask for more from Genie house! In all aspects Genie house strikes perfect balance, great homely feel, super clean, perfect for the dog and the kids and walking distance to all things byron has to offer! Jeannie was a perfect host, great communication! Will definitely be back!

Charming property, perfect location

Jeannie and Jim (the owners) are delightful. They left beautiful flowers and a bottle of bubbly for when we arrived. House is gorgeous. Everything you want is there. Located opposite bay grocer and a short stroll to some great restaurants. Can’t wait to return!

Great location

We picked Genie House for our stay so we could bring our dog along for a family wedding. The Genie House is conveniently located walking distance to town and everything Byron has to offer. Jeannie was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend!

Wonderful house in a great location walking distance to everything

Our family of 5 plus a dog had a wonderful stay at the house. House has a wonderful vibes and is very close proximity to shops, restaurants and the beach. Everything in the house is provided for the convenience for the stay. The store few meters from the house had great selection of fresh breads and produce as well. We will be back!!!

Great location, relaxing vibe

We loved our stay at Genie House. The place was big enough for our extended family group with lots of decks and places to chill out in. The dining table room was amazing. It was an easy 10 minute walk to Byron shops, across the road from the Bay Grocer and a short walk to The General Store for morning coffee. It felt like a home, with lots of cosy touches. Only issue was only having one bathroom, but it was very clean.

Just what we needed

A much needed relaxing getaway from our busy professional daily lifestyles. An enormous recommendation for Genie House, was everything, plus more - spacious, well appointed with all amenities, cosy and warm with the wood fire, comfy sofas and beds, easy to use kitchen and laundry. Our third trip back to Byron and Genie House is the best, also perfect location. Wonderful hosts. Big thanks to owners Jeannie and Jim. Looking forward to our next escape away to Genie House.

Road trip to paradise

We were pleasantly surprised at the location of the house. Just a short walk to the Main Street and all the eateries and boutiques. The house itself is beautiful with gorgeous furnishings and decor in a lush tropical setting with visits from the birds every morning. Our dog was well looked after too with bowls. Only draw back was the beds were not very cozy and we all had to sleep with the AC on in our rooms and the bins hadn’t been taken out so after 5 nights it was very full! Each room had its own tv which was good as were a family of myself and my three adult kids all in their 30’s. The lounge room had a lovely corner leather couch with plenty of for all of us. Overall we absolutely loved our stay!
