All aesthetic aspects of this property were superb: the surrounding countryside, the view, the landscaping, the architecture, the pool, the interior design, and even the design of every conceivable item on the property. And the sunrises as seen from my room through the glass doors were also very nice! My host James was a superb host, and I also enjoyed the communal breakfasts with the other guests.

If you are looking for an adults escape, Blackbird is it, nestled in amongst the Byron Bay Hinterlands overlooking the Bay. Your hosts James & Stella have created this amazing luxurious space and make you feel so welcomed. My husband and I originally booked a 2-night escape, however we were fortunate enough to stay a third night. Each morning a delicious breakfast awaits you that can either be enjoyed in your villa or by the pool whilst taking in the spectacular views. I can honestly say this was the most wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Blackbird. We will be back.

Very good managed accommodation. Very good and personal service by the owner and his staff. Breath-taking view from the pavilions and the pool and breakfast area. Breakfast very good and individually served. Best accommodation I ever had in Australia!

A fantastic stay – amazing hotel with stunning views and exquisite decor. The pool is awesome, the breakfasts were delicious, and the owner James and site manager Reuben were great hosts. An excellent place to unwind, and/or as a base for everything around Byron.
