"Nice bright refurbished room overlooked the sportsgrounds. Nice to hear the birds in the morning.
The internet was incredibly slow, and we had to use our own data.
Convenient location for walking into the city."

"Great location and an interesting building to stay in. Not a luxury resort but very clean and comfortable and so full of history. Also a great location - easy walk to town"

"We had such a lovely stay here. Everything was absolutely spotless, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the whole setting was so peaceful and serene.
The little luxury touches made it feel extra special, including local Muscat available to sample. Breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect for exploring Milawa and the King Valley.
It was exactly the relaxing little getaway we were hoping for and one of those places you genuinely want to come back to. We absolutely loved our...

Always friendly, helpful staff. They even wash your windscreen before you leave in the morning. The quality of their restaurant and room service food is excellent. The pool and spa is just what you need after along drive.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Bridge Motel. The managers were very welcoming and helpful with directions around the area. We found the room very well presented and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and just what we needed after a big day of travelling and then returning after A Day on the Green. The cooked breakfast was most enjoyable and a good way to start our day of exploring around the township of Beechworth which has plenty to offer. If we are ever in this area...

We had a 3 single + 1 Queen size beds. Very comfortable, more than enough room. Very clean and well presented. Our kids are aged 9 , 6 & 2 and we all slept soundly. Pool was great. Easy Checkin and checkout. Couldn't be happier.

Great place, fantastic everything. Now the remaining words are to satisfy Wotif's requirement that there are a minimum number of characters before the review will be posted. Waste of your and my time. Very rude on their part

Booked for 2 week period due to work. Booked the basic room, but was upgraded to a lovely cabin. Very clean and modern inside. Air conditioning in room, which I occasionally needed due to hot weather. Included a small kitchenette and bar fridge. Crockery etc supplied. Serviced daily if needed, very friendly staff. Double bed was very comfortable and im fussy with beds. Very quiet, car spot next to cabin, small balcony in front. Free wifi was provided. Laundry and dryer on site, which i utilised...

This was a return visit to Ryley Motor Inn and the family room suited us well. The rooms are spacious and the hotel supplies crockery/cutlery so we can eat in. We used the pool this time on a very hot afternoon, very clean and refreshing. The location is good, within walking distance from shops, food and park yet very quiet. We only use this as a stop en route but it's the only place we'd stay because it suits us so well. Staff are very helpful and accomodating.

For an older-looking motel, it was in a very good state of repair. The staff were so lovely and helpful upon checking in and out. It was so close to everything in town too. I would definitely go back again.

Comfort. Elegance. Luxury. These three words best describe this highly curated King Valley property. Staying here for two nights of relaxation and rejuvenation after four weeks of road travel around Tasmania and Victoria is worth every dollar, and is a perfect self-care indulgence. I will be saving again in the next five years for another pampering stay here when I turn 70. It is a great goal to stay alive!

This motel in the beautiful regional town of Beechworth is outstanding. We were in the area for a wedding in Bright, a 45 minute drive away, the following day. Now that we know the quality of this motel we hope to return for an extended stay to explore the area more thoroughly. We were welcomed by Rob, the Owner/Manager, who shared some excellent advice on dining options and places of interest in the town. The motel was as clean and comfortable as I my wife and I have experienced in 40 years. It...

The best area to stay in Byawatha is generally within the town centre or the immediate surrounding countryside, offering excellent access to local attractions.
The Byawatha town centre is a practical choice for most visitors. It's compact and walkable, with the main street, Byawatha Road, featuring a selection of local shops, cafes, and eateries. You'll find the Byawatha General Store here, which is a good landmark, and the town hall is also centrally located.
For couples looking for a relaxed retreat, staying in the countryside just outside the town centre is ideal. Many properties here offer scenic views of the surrounding rolling hills and vineyards. It provides a peaceful setting while still being a short drive to the town's amenities and the various wineries that dot the landscape.
When is the best time to go to Byawatha?
The best time to visit Byawatha is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), when the weather is pleasant and the region is at its most picturesque without the peak season crowds.
Autumn in Byawatha brings comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the area. The foliage changes to stunning reds and golds, particularly evident in the surrounding national parks and along the local walking trails. This season is superb for couples looking for a romantic getaway, with opportunities for scenic drives and enjoying the region's produce at local farm gates.
Spring offers similarly mild weather, with temperatures between 12°C and 22°C. The landscape bursts into bloom, making it a wonderful time for outdoor activities like cycling the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail or visiting the numerous vineyards.
