Lakeside Haven is located in a prime area of Watauga Lake and is nestled under canopy of trees with it's decks overhanging the beautiful waters of Watauga Lake. The absolute magical quality of the outside living area is what keeps people leaving the 5 star reviews and coming back year after year.

Lakeside Haven's indoor space is 850 sq. ft. We have an outdoor living space that consists of a large 4 person Hot Tub just outside the door on the main upper deck. Our Hot Tub is drained scrubbed and refilled after every guest leaves and we use very minimal chemicals. So no human soup to sit in or dangerous harsh chemicals for our guests. We have a gas grill and a large Patio table and Umbrella. On the lower deck you will find 2 very nice lounge chairs for reading or napping in the shade, between the two lounge chairs you will find a gas fire pit to enjoy at night. Follow the footpath down to the water to find the dock and if you choose that is where your pontoon boat will await you. From there you can boat or fish to your hearts content from daylight to dark if you choose.


2015 AVALON PONTOON AVAILABLE FOR RENT. Have your pontoon delivered to your private dock and have it stay there for your use during your entire stay. Very secluded, water front property situated on banks of Watauga lake! 1 KING BED BRAND NEW TEMPERPEDIC MATTRESS, 1 Queen size Sofa Bed. HOT TUB, Central AC and Heat. Stove, Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer, TV, Cable, WiFi. Two beautiful decks hanging over Watauga Lake. Boat Dock with complimentary 2 Kayaks . Public boat ramp just a few miles away so bring your own watercraft or rent one from us! Plenty of parking for boat and jet ski's. Local Grocery just 15 minutes away. Boat Slip available upon request.

The cabin itself was very cute and organized. Comfy bed and furniture. There were some issues and the property mgr. was very responsive. The lake is low and the ramp to the floating dock is very sloped - early morning it is wet and very slick. Did not receive our instructions to check in until after we had arrived and there is limited cell service so we had to leave after arriving to receive. We love the area -

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Wonderful location and private. Was able to park out boat/trailer and felt very safe to leave it as we ventured out. The host was very accommodating and returned our call/messages quickly. I would mention the phone service is poor and the road leading down to the house was rough.

Home away from home

This cabin is the perfect getaway. Beautiful, secluded location that feels like home the moment you walk through the door! No cell service but the wifi worked great. We hope to come back again in the future!

Cute, comfortable cabin for two.

My wife and I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in this comfy little cabin on Watauga lake. The hot tub was fully functional and clean as described. The bed was super comfortable. Cabin had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. The area was very peaceful. A couple very nice wineries are minutes away. Would come back to this place again!

It was so peaceful and homey. I didn’t want to leave. Seeing the moon reflecting on the lake was beautiful. The cabin was clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend staying at this cabin. Plus there is fish in the lake. Not all lakes actually have fish.

Peaceful cabin on a lake

We had a wonderful stay. The host is one of the good ones...you'll find all the little extras - soaps, lotion, shampoo, cleaning products, basic spices, a first aid kit, and laundry detergent - all the things that come in handy for travelers! The linens all looked brand new and the mattress was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks and were happy to find life vests available. The a/c was perfect and the wifi signal strong. It was a perfect weekend for my husband, pup, and I.

Relaxing getaway in beautiful spot

This was a truly relaxing and lovely getaway. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and it is quiet and peaceful at the house. The lower deck with the lounge chairs was a perfect morning and evening spot to relax and enjoy the lake. The hot tub was clean, as was everything else in the house. The host was easy to get ahold of and communicated clearly. A great place to stay! One thing to think about - the space, especially in the bedroom, is small. The pictures reflect this quite well, just make sure you're good with that and you will have a wonderful time!

Long Weekend

The cabin was very cute, hot tub was great. One of the main reasons we booked was for the fire pit however it was completely out of propane so we couldn’t use it. There was also only 1 cushion for the two chaise lounge chairs. There is also a bee and wasp problem on the back deck which is unfortunate for someone who is allergic like myself. Overall a nice secluded property.

Relaxing get away!

This was just what my husband and I needed. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy the water, boat, kayak, or swim and relax in the evening this is the perfect place. One thing I suggest if you don't want to go back out, stop on your way in to get groceries, the closest town with a grocery store is Mountain City about a 20 min drive. It's a beautiful drive though. :)

Great cabin

We had a great stay! Back porch overlooking the lake was our go to spot for relaxing in the shade. Just a few minutes away from the Mercantile for breakfast and Villa Nova winery for a great evening for live music and enjoying the views. We definitely recommend this cabin if you’re looking to unwind and recharge.

Hidden gem

Loved everything about the property I logged how it was hidden and away from main events I was able to bring what I needed and not leave. Cell service is almost nonexistent, but the wireless Internet worked fantastic and allow me all contact that I needed.
