We saw the photos of this accommodation online and booked it for 2 families to stay in for the long weekend as we liked the 'log house' style in the photos for a bush stay with the kids. Upon arrival, we noticed the front door does not lock properly with the key provided, it can simply be pushed open and doesn't lock, so the house is not secure. Entering the house, it felt very dirty, the floors & walls had cobwebs, leaves, and dead bugs all over the windowsills. The couch had food smears. When we went upstairs to check out our bedrooms, there were mice droppings all over the beds, bedside tables, and carpets. There were mice droppings also all over the bathroom floors, and bathroom bench. The cleaner had left a bottle of bleach on the bathroom bench, and dirty black cloths & sponges in the kitchen. The kitchen bins were full of black mould in the bottom and the dishwasher stunk. We decided we could not stay in the accommodation due to the filth and very obvious mice infestation. We requested a refund from the owner and he simply advised the property was cleaned 2 days ago and tough luck. If this amount of mice droppings was able to accumulate in just 2 days, it means there is a huge mice issue inside. There was no apology from the owner and he is refusing a full refund, even though we didn't even stay here!! We are now out of pocket thousands of dollars to find last minute alternate accommodation on a long weekend. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! IT'S INFESTED WITH MICE!!
