Disappointed and Frustrated.

The Eagle and Child did not have our reservation and were fully booked with other guests. We were then faced with finding another hotel at short notice. Please can you explain what went wrong with your communication with the hotel and please arrange to re-pay my £165 pounds which I had unfortunately paid in advance.

We absolutely loved every single minute of our stay! Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, the view was amazing. The bed was one of the best we have slept in. All of the staff and particularly Rosie were just so lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was also amazing, and the outdoor gardens just stunning. We will definitely be back!

The room itself was lovely. It was obviously newly decorated and furnished however the service we received was appalling. The website offered the option of a cooked or continental breakfast. We chose the property partly because it offered an on-site, cooked breakfast as I had to attend a business meeting in the area early the next morning. Soon after we arrived, the manager advised that we couldn't have a cooked breakfast, only a continental one in our room. We said we were disappointed and asked for a small refund to compensate. The owner / manager refused saying we could leave if we didn't like what was on offer. We did move and found another lovely hotel in the vicinity able to accommodate our request. I would say that the attention to customer care and service at The Eagle and Child is extremely poor. I would not stay there again.

Wow, this is a gem of a place and I certainly will be staying there again. The staff are friendly and helpful.Thank you to Josh, Jamal , Oliver and Emily for making our stay so lovely. We were given a warm welcome and served a delicious evening meal. The breakfast is superb . The rooms are clean and comfortable and the decor is tasteful. There is complimentary fruit, Prosecco, crisps, orange juice, milk and hot drinks in the room. It’s just a short walk into Ramsbottom high street . Parking is on site . Definitely will be returning .
