We enjoyed our stay. Very spacious. We had good family time. Grill for cooking, pool table to play and Hot tub to relax!Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!
Property was perfect for fixing thanksgiving meal and lots of room for all to hang out indoors and outside! Loved being close enough to walk to lake and bonfire and hot tub on property!
We had a great weekend here. Property actually seemed a little nicer than pictures showed. The 3 sets of bunk beds were great for our group so all the kids could sleep together. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved the location/boat ramp access. And the home and screened in porches were great. We spent most of our time outdoors. However, we found the beds/mattresses too soft for us. They were quite noisy too.
This house was perfect for us. We were only there for 2 days to have Christmas with our children scattered across the country. We had a pool tournament and enjoyed a fire in the fireplace on a dreary day. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The check in and out process was easy and with some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. This is definitely a place to consider for a mountain getaway.
What a great place! I highly recommend this place!
Only negative...with menus there you would think that you could order for delivery for those offer delivery. Not true...don’t waist your time with mellow mushroom!
This place was absolutely wonderful. VERY CLEAN.! Tons of space! I would have given it 5 stars BUT(IMO) this house is not lakeside. It is on a river bank off cubberland River not a lake. The description of the property says lakeside retreat. I assumed you would have easy access to a lake. There is a boating ramp just right up the road but There were no fishing docks or any where to just enjoy the lake without having a boat. It would have been. Nice to been able to walk to a fishing area or spot to look out on the lake. You will Really want look at the map and know the location and area and do some research.
We had a fantastic time! Quiet gated neighborhood that does have security. House worked perfectly for all 13 of us! Sliding door to the porch is extremely hard to open and close. Walls are a little spotty mainly due to normal wear and tear. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything. Plenty of bathrooms for all. Family highly enjoyed the jacuzzi. Purchased our own wood and had bon fires both nights! Other than the sliding door, absolutely zero complaints! Definitely would stay again....be sure to get all your groceries before heading to the house....it's a haul back to town! 😄
Really enjoyed our time at 74 Cloverleaf. The unit was set up perfectly for us as a couple, our teenage daughter, the newlyweds, and the new parents. We all had our own private space and also had great spaces to hang out together. The hot tub and pool table are great added bonuses. The neighborhood felt very safe and the ease of keyless entry was awesome! No keys to keep track of, just a code. Nearby Somerset had all the shopping and eateries we needed too. We only had time for 3 days of hiking, but want to come back and hit some more trails. The stone Arch and Lick Creek hikes are worth the effort. My only suggestion to the owners would be to improve/replace some bakeware/cookware. We felt like those items were few and in need of updating..but that didn’t take away from our stay. We even had a minor issue with hot water on our last morning and the management was timely in getting it resolved. Overall, I’d highly recommend Cumberland Resort to my friends. Thanks for a lovely week!

Not safe for toddlers
This property was a great size for our entire family get-a-way. I’m only giving it 4 stars because the location is actually a 45 minute drive from Cumberland Falls and I didn’t know that until I booked the place and was given the address. It’s also a 30 minute drive to the closest grocery store. It also needs some repairs on the deck as it was not safe for my toddler to run around. Part of the railing was falling off and the railing in the screened in porch does not appear to be built to code. My toddler squeezed his body in-between the rails and there was only a screen keeping him from falling off the deck. I would not recommend bringing a toddler to this property - though they did have a pack-n-play and high chair which was convenient.

Could be very nice if upgraded
The property could be very nice but it badly needs an update. It didn't appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival; dirt on the floor, garbage still stuffed in the hide a bed, didn't look vacuumed. The walls are in need of paint throughout - the master bedroom closet had crayon marks and the walls are scuffed. The vent grates are dirty and bedrooms mattresses were badly stained. Some of the comforters had white crusty stains. Mold in the shower handle in the downstairs bathroom. There were no towels when we arrived and very bare basic necessities for a large group, and the management company was uncomfortable to deal with. The cleaning supervisor was very nice. All in all, this could be a beautiful place. The setting was gorgeous, nice area, but the house needs a complete upgrade.
Our youth group had a great time. The house was spacious and clean. Each bedroom had nice furniture and closet space. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. The pool table was a hit with all. The color of the hot tub water scared me a bit, but the kids didn't mind as much as I did!
The space in the home is GREAT! We had 5 adults and 2 infants so we were easily able to put kids down for naps and still be noisy in other parts of the house. Having the Hot Tub ready to go whenever we wanted was a BIG bonus.
The kitchen had a good variety of pots & pans. Finding matching lids or the right utensils was another story. Mostly everything was there, it just seems the house needs some labeling or something to help guest and cleaning crew to organize...items were kind of all over. While there were plenty of plates/cups for us, I don't think there would have been enough of matching items if the booking was at max capacity.
Management was attentive to requests and responded quickly. Everyone in the office and at the store was very pleasant. We had a little trouble with getting the fireplace to work each time. Our biggest complaint was the lack of attention by the cleaning crew. The place wasn't "dirty" but we did find several little things which just left us feeling cleaning is rushed. Pots/pans & oven racks were really sticky and we found random items & towels in the washing machine as if thrown in and never checked. Extra sheets were in several bundles in a linen closet and we couldn't tell if they were clean or not b/c they weren't neatly folded. Ultimately, the things in the house which the owner has upgraded really showed it and were REALLY nice...there are a few things showing their age (mgmt did say the owners were handling several things soon, though.)
A note about the location. Activity-wise, this is definitely a summer destination. This was fine with us as we planned on staying in mostly, but we wished the home had been decorated with a bit of holiday cheer. Burnside is pretty sparse (including the Christmas Island) but Somerset has a lot of shopping and restaurants. Just something to note if you're planning to do activities outside the house other than hiking or something.
Property was very enjoyable. Screened in porch was very spacious. The basement area was an excellent space for the child to get away from all the hubbub if either space or a nap was needed.
The property was beautiful. A little further "off the beaten path" than expected but we didn't have trouble finding it with GPS. The house fit 8 people great and had plenty of space to keep us entertained. We used the downstairs pool table a lot. It's not far from Safe Harbour Marina where we rented a boat for a day. We really enjoyed our stay and really liked the house.

Stay was okay
Owner needs to update kitchen accessories. Pans were warped and old. They didn't lay flat on the burner. Outdoor patio was not cleaned when we arrived. Cigarette butts, bugs, muddy foot prints on the patio. My son found a vape pen and a lighter. Glad my 4 yr old didn't find it. Dirty white t shirt on a patio chair. Downstairs bedroom off of the pool table room had no fan.
Nice and relaxing for our get away. It was very clean and the owner's owners were friendly.. We had everything we needed to cook a large taco night. Everyone had a great time and the hot tub was nice.
