Lovely property with peaceful feeling, country views and garden. Hostess was extremely nice and helpful.
I stayed 4 nights and had a great experience, everything was clean, had room and bathroom to myself and key to the door, would definitely stay again for sure!
A quaint cozy room perfect for an overnight near Burlington. Be aware all rooms are on second floor with no elevator. No TV. Other use what you need for basics are provided. Comfortable bed and nice linens.
Stay here if you possibly can! The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful, the food was great, there's a fun bike ride down to the ferry, country walking on trails, pretty farmland, and an astonishing, amazing, truly unbelievable host.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Old Lantern Inn and Barn, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm hospitality of the host, who went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable.
The lobby, beautifully designed, immediately set a welcoming tone. The breathtaking views surrounding the inn were truly a highlight, providing a serene backdrop for relaxation.
I loved the complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks available at all times—such a thoughtful touch that made my stay feel even more special. The hassle-free check-in process, even late in the evening, made everything so convenient.
Overall, this is a gem of a place, and I can't wait to return!
The room was small. It had a Queen size bed and a small bathroom. No TV, refrigerator or microwave were in the room. There was a small common refrigerator in the hallway. There was no ice available. The free breakfast was good with coffee, yogurt, Chex cereal, and fruit.

We understood that there was breakfast, but there was none - only snacks that were available in cannisters. We were promised a room overlooking the lake, but there was none - the inn is far from the lake.
The room was clean and lovely. I can't say anything about the service because there was none - the reception was closed when we arrived, and when we left.
In sum, pretty building, nice furniture, comfy bed, but overpriced.
The host was a lovely person who made the stay worthwhile. Recommended a fabulous restaurant for dinner - best part of stay. Bed was very noisy; creaked when getting in/out and with movements causing disruptive sleep. Although website advertises air conditioning, the control was in one location so it was basically nonexistent making for a warm stay. Room had fans but still warm. False advertising re air conditioning. Very early in morning (4 am) a loud machine kicked on waking us. Thought it was the house AC but uncertain. Bathroom was small but adequate. Curtain was too short so water ran out onto flooring. Breakfast was continental style and adequate.
Restaurant and host were the two positives; wouldn't stay there again due to inability to get a decent night's rest.
We were so very happy with our stay. It was such a warm, cozy and beautiful place. Lisa was amazing!! Thank you!!

This Inn was adequate ! The room was small and dated. No tv in the room. Lisa was very nice and we only saw her once which was when we arrived. They don’t advertise a full breakfast but offer coffee, yogurt and cereal . The area around the in is very pretty!
Quiet and pretty location and suited our needs a for a night. Didn’t see any signs of staff the whole stay which made it a little impersonal. Breakfast very basic but all in all a pleasant enough stay.
Great stay! The house was very clean and very quiet. Beautiful property and worth it if you don't want to stay in Burlington proper; it's super close to go into Burlington if you want to. Would book again.

This is about the only place to stay near Charlotte Vt. Basically, no one was home! A little sign said room #4 was for us. The bed probably was a double only. There were no water glasses in the room (an issue) and no TV ( not an issue). Breakfast possibilities were coffee, yogurt, Cheerios, an apple.
