"Location was quite good, view onto sea attractive, room in reasonable condition, food OK, but what let things down was an absurd experience paying for a restaurant bill when checking out - they said they accepted credit cards when I asked, however they didn't seem to know how to operate the machines, in addition to it taking an age to add up the bill and add the 3% credit card charge, they then started to boot up the credit card machine rather than doing it before, they then didn't ask me if I wanted to pay in IDR or GBP - when I asked if they chose IDR they lied and stated they did, but they didn't which meant I was charged another unnecessary 3%. After showing them that the transaction was indeed made in GBP, I requested they refund the 3%, but they stated they didn't have change. They also stated maybe I should have paid in cash - pretty ironic when they didn't have change for cash either ..."

The bungalows are spotless; the grounds and gardens are meticulously cared for and the staff are all professional, curteous and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. "Staff were wonderful. Charming, old style hotel. Beautiful grounds and perfectly situated. Rooms very tired despite the rustic charm and bathrooms need a desperate clean. Sink and shower didn’t drain. Mosquitos immensely bad and bed nets full of holes. Understandable that mosquitos are abundant but other hotels seem to manage. Still, grateful for a quiet, pleasant stay and the generous, kind staff. "
