"Just came back from a 3 night stay and what a perfect place it was to end our week in Belize. The grounds are beautiful, the staff accommodating, and fresh coffee waiting for you in the morning. We saw toucans, monkeys, agoutis and some other animals on the property. Speaking of- our favorite staff member- Mama (orange cat) was very welcoming and enjoyed spending much of her time with us. It was about $10usd for a taxi into town and Mike was great about getting us one. Very close to Mayan ruin sites and great spot to visit Tikal and ATM. Thank you for your great hospitality. "

"Clean room, nice pool, and close to some good restaurants and the San Ignacio marketplace. Easy to hop across the street and get a few snacks or groceries from the grocery store. Staff was flexible and you can pre-order your breakfast the night before on site if you are planning an early tour. Only downside was staying the second food room facing front (hotel guests and nighttime swimmers were a bit loud for someone like me who needed to get to bed early). "

"A beautiful hotel with great staff and gorgeous setting. The river-view suites are HUGE, and our kids loved the pools & amenities. Howler monkey calls and toucans, and gorgeous river views. "

"The property situated in a serene area. Rooms are clean. Our room was facing the river. Amities are all close by. Food was amazing. It was trolling to watch birds coming to the feeder when we ate breakfast next to it.River tubing was fun. The staff was so kind enough to do the camp fire at night just for our group. We had the best guide for our horse back riding. He was very knowledgeable and had the most patience to deal with inexperienced people like us. We had the best time at here! Definitely recommend "

"Villa Massis is a jungle paradise! It is situated amongst giant trees and large flowering tropical plants, right next to the quiet Mopan River. The pool was beautiful to swim in and lounge around. The staff are incredibly friendly: from the owner Larry to all the support staff, they really want guests to have a good time! They are proud of what this part of Belize has to offer. Larry coordinated transport to and from the airport, and set us up with drivers and guides for tubing down the river, swimming by waterfalls, exploring Xunantunich ruins with our knowledgeable guide Luis. Just what we’d hoped for in a jungle get away!"
