Great service, great location and great value. The hosts really take care of you. Bed was a little hard and it was a shame the pool pump was broken, but otherwise a wonderful stay for all the family
Pre arrival we received an email informing us about the Covid restrictions at the hotel and informing us of the guidelines we needed to follow, this was along with pre checking in details.
On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by the friendly owners who gave us the information we needed to know about the meal times, the bar, the swimming pool and the other local information that could or would be of use to us during our stay.
My room No 8 on the first floor, was a large room with two single beds and a double, it had two comfortable wicker armchairs along with a Tv and refreshments station. It also had a full size bath and a hand held shower hose (plumbed in type, not the rubber push on type). The view from the window was of the vast open space alongside of the property and a bit of the sea.
The hotel staff were great, the young ladies that served breakfast were on the ball, polite, friendly and picked up and returned our sense of humour.
The choice for breakfast was varied and freshly cooked even with one of our group having special dietary needs, we were served at the same time.
The area was quite and just far enough away to be relaxing and close enough to be within walking distance of what you needed.
Great hotel, Great staff, well recommended, so much so we are looking at booking the whole hotel next year for a big group weekender.

We will return
Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived decor was slightly dated but the couple and staff were amazing excellent location. Sensational breakfast and clearly they are not money grabbers like other Cornish hoteliers. Would recommend a visit would not be disappointed!
Fabulous stay. Hotel was great. Room lovely, very clean and very comfortable. Facilities were super from bar, swimming pool and restaurant. From the first welcome, throughout the stay the staff were wonderful. Jon and Rosalind were the perfect hosts. Highly recommend. Will certainly visit again.
The owners and all the other staff were very friendly. The breakfast was perfect - a great start to every day - the dining room was comfortable with lovely staff and delicious cooked breakfasts. Everywhere in the hotel was kept clean. The pool was great for our whole family. We made use of it every late afternoon before dinner. We enjoyed the outside area with wild rabbits and birds, and played tennis a few times on the courts. There were body boards in the drying room outside which we were told we could borrow so that saved us buying more as we had left ours at a relative's house. We enjoyed the bar area in the evening, played some pool and card games. The atmosphere was lovely, very comfortable. The rooms had everything we needed and the rest of the hotel was an added bonus. Great location with sea views and just a walk down a small hill for five minutes before being on Crooklets Beach.
Fantastic location for beach and coastal walks. The property owners and their staff are so friendly and helpful. The quality and range of food choices are excellent, all freshly cooked to order. The luxury sea facing room is superb and ideal for a break in Bude away from the crowds and perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets
John and Rosalind were brilliant hosts, we had a nice family room at a fair price, the breakfast was excellent and the kids loved the indoor swimming pool. Well pleased with the hotel, breakfast, service and location 2 minutes from the beach.
Very friendly, cosy and comfortable. John and Rosalind go above and beyond for their guests, they even contacted their local garage to have our daughter's windscreen wiper fixed ( and she was staying at another hotel!) Breakfast was delicious on each of the 3 mornings and the hotel is in a great location, next to the coastal path but within easy walking distance of the centre of Bude.
In the world of chain hotels, this is a gem of a family run and managed hotel. Very close to the beach and 5 mins to the prettiest sunset. Although a bit dated, it was amply made-up by the great service. The owners were very accommodating of our dog and helped cook chicken for him.
We will definitely recommend this hotel for stay.
We had no iss
Very friendly, warm welcome. Hotel room comfortable and clean. Great views over the sea and fields, short 5 minute walk to the beach.
Great choice for breakfast which was fresh and cooked to order.
Hosts were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and knowledgeable about the area. Will definitely return.
John and Rosalind were wonderful hosts. Very friendly, great service and were always happy to help if needed. Breakfasts were very nice, the 2 evening meals we had were also very nice. We will be returning!
Very poor standard of rooms and quality as a whole starting from hygiene to noise isolation.Bed sheets very old and smelly, bathroom as un-hygienic and did not even have a decent bath or a shower head. The quality of sleep was ruined by birds being let out and walking on the roof of the property waking us up at early in the morning. I would not recommend anyone to stay here even for half of the price per night..
Very friendly and helpful owner, enjoyed our stay. Only minus point is the lack of soundproofing between rooms and floors and pityful water pressure for the showers only (other taps and bath were fine).
