"The check in process left much to be desired. The desk clerk was not at the desk when we arrived. When she did come out, she was trying to manage a room crisis while checking us in. She was clearly overwhelmed by both tasks. As a result, our check in went poorly with rushed instructions and no discussion of hotel amenities or locations. She remarked several times that she was new, which may indicate that better training and greater staff support is needed."

The common areas are definitely showing their age and it's a shame an investment hasn't been made in returning this hotel to its grander days. But the room rate was very good--especially when hotels a few miles up the road in Lexington were asking $200 or more per night."
