"Had both units for our family, plenty of room. Didn’t realize it’s a second unit and not a 2br. Estancia is nice, quiet pool, but plenty of activity next door at Villa Palmar. Food is mediocre, tequila selection lacking, but plenty of great options in Bucerias, short taxi or walk. La Comer, nice grocery and easy to get to and stock the kitchen. Rented bikes next door to property and went on a long ride, good bike & running path, about 4 miles."

"The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. The location is 2 blocks from the beach and the property includes free beach chairs and umbrellas. They also provide free top of the line...

The positives: Bucerias is a beautiful place that is tourist-friendly without being completely crowded, even during Christmas week. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as Sayulita, but it has a great vibe and charm. "We stayed at the hotel for the month of Feb 2017. Booked it in Feb2016 through Hotels.com. Guaranteed price and pay when we arrive. We confirmed the price several times before we arrived and all was good according to Hotels.com.When we arrived I had all documents printed to show staff. They said they were full and did not have my booking and even if they did they would not honour my rate. They said they dont deal with Hotels.com or any other online booking agency.
