"Before I checked in to my 1st floor room, I could hear this extremely loud noise coming from the " maintenance room" just down the hall. Could be heard throughout. Apparently has something to do with the pump, or filtration for the water slide at the indoor pool and playland. Anyway, was then given a room on the 2nd floor. The cold grab and go breakfast was minimal. Was told the night before they had waffles. Nope. They had instant oatmeal, but no microwave oven. Couldn't even find a wastebasket nearby, had to carry my trash to the lobby wastebasket. Convenient to the freeway. Got a good night's sleep, but can't recommend the place and wouldn't go back."

"The young man working the overnight front desk should be running his own hotel one day! I’m rarely impressed with professional acumen, kindness, and sincere effort to go above and beyond. I literally watched this young man treat a dozen or more people checking in with such professionalism that I was astonished. The rooms are extremely big, super clean and they have an indoor pool, I however, it was freezing cold.. the breakfast exceeded expectations. I think it’s a wonderful hotel at a perfect location and definitely a competitive price. If I ever roll through Des Moines again, I will stay at this property."

"This hotel was not cleaned and falling apart. Our room was disgusting and the hotel was not safe. There were homeless people in the lobby and using the bathrooms inside the hotel. We ended up getting a refund and going to a different hotel."

"Breakfast was fresh and good. Wonderful firepit and so relaxing! Hottub was broke down. But had a very good time."

"It was your basic hotel room. We had trouble with the shower/bathroom. The tub was rusted through on the bottom, and the water pressure was laughable. Also, it was either the temperature of the sun, or freezing cold with no in between. The staff was great and had answers to everything we asked. The elevators and hallways often smelled of weed, and seemed to leak through the vent in the bathroom. Other than that the bed was fine, and the TV was nice. The restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and even better service, although breakfast not being included with your stay was a bit annoying. Overall, not the worst place I’ve stayed, not the best."

"I checked in on Friday with my service dog. The staff was great. I was asked what floor and I suggested one closest to the ground. The hotel was very clean and stocked. My bed was very comfortable and I definitely will be back and I highly recommend"

"Rooms were good, front service people not very friendly. Didn’t appreciate that we couldn’t enjoy ourselves due to lots of people in the lobby taking pictures for Prom. I paid to enjoy and that here was a bar, but couldn’t use it. Would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone"

"As a place that we mainly used as a place to rest at night it was wonderful. That being said We also agreed we wish we had more time to just hang out at the house as it was a wonderful place. It was very clean and felt like you were at home. The host was very helpful and even provided directions before we got there because of road work in the area. It's the small things tha tmake the stay so much better. We will be moving this property to the top of the list for anytime we need to stay in the area."

"The upgraded room was appreciated when the room i reserved online wasn't available. The only draw back was ypu could hear all the people in the hallway. The children running down the halls. People trying to look in the peep hole. So, to keep this from happening, I put a piece on TP rolled up and put inside. The blackout curtains only keep some light out but does not make the room Dark. I enjoyed having a stove, full sized frig, microwave and sink in the kitchen."
