"Upon check-in the staff was very welcoming and explained everything in detail, leaving no questions. Our room and the entire property was very clean and well kept. We saw staff members several times collecting trash so it wasn’t piled up anywhere. The room had everything we needed for a nice weekend away. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of the amenities on site."

Walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg and lots of shops and restaurants. Keurig coffee in the room which was nice but any more than that you need to walk to the lobby coffee shop."

Breakfast at the Lodge made us feel unwelcome. hostess never smiled and seemed put out that we were even trying to ask for a table."

"We stayed in one of the tavern rooms. While small, they are adequately sized for two people. Shower is small because it has to follow slope of the roof to maintain original look. That being said, the room had modern plumbing and electrical and a television. It was really cool to stay in a historical tavern inn and to be on the main street of the colonial buildings inside the historical area. "
