"The bar area was stylish and welcoming with a warming fire. The staff were friendly and accommodating which gave a relaxed atmosphere. Food was great (1 Sunday roast and 2 steaks) and reasonably priced. We had a 1 night stay in a courtyard room which was a good size and perfect as we had a dog with us. A decent breakfast set us up for the next day. Highly recommend."

"Whilst the staff were lovely, as was the food, the hotel needs a little bit of TLC. The headboard on my bed was loose and the bathroom shower had a bit of mould on both the shower curtain and the shower roof. My room was also directly in front of the road and the traffic seemed to go on and on all night. "

"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat out. Although situated behind a pub it was very quiet. "
