"WMy grandchildren and my sister and I had a lovely time in Maine. Darla and her husband were so kind. We were there during an unusual heat wave and they bought us an air conditioner! The home juts out into the water in a beautiful way. What a blessing to share their fathers cabin!"

"We loved Morning Star cottage! I’m not sure if my favorite part was coffee on the upstairs balcony each morning or wine on the dock each evening! We loved the peace and quiet of the area while still being close to the harbor and it’s activities. Admittedly, the unseasonable temps made it quite hot for a couple of days but we knew this could be a possibility when booking! Thanks, Charles, for sharing your beautiful home with us!"

"At the end of a quiet dirt road, this lovely house has the warmth of an all wood interior and a large family room with views to the water on three sides. The screened porch and deck offer places to relax surrounded by great natural beauty. The Jack and Jill bathroom arrangement is handy for multiple guests and the kitchen nicely outfitted. Our expectations were exceeded."

"This is the cozy Maine cottage of your dreams! Beautifully decorated without being fussy and the location is quiet and serene with the fabulous views of the cove from the screened in porch. We were 3 in our group and we fit perfectly. Drinking morning coffee each morning watching real lobstermen getting the traps ready for the day on the nearby wharf was a treat. You can walk to dinner or ice cream at the Five Islands Lobster Co at the end of the lane, but it closes at 7pm so the neighborhood is quiet at night. The views are incredible even when sitting in the living room or cooking in the kitchen. The parking spot is on a steep driveway at a sharp angle, so you need to be very careful while parking, but we got the hang of it quickly. There is no oven or washer/dryer, so plan accordingly, but we made our meals on the stove and there is a great microwave with an air fryer function. All of the coffee pods, soap and paper products were provided which was a nice touch. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage for an authentic slice of Maine living!"

"This is a serene spot with privacy and charm. We loved evenings around the stone fireplace and mornings on the veranda with coffee and birdsong.Heads up if someone in your party needs bars or rails in the shower. There weren't any. It's a house for the hale and hearty, not for the tippy or iffy.Sara, the host, was lovely at every turn. We all appreciated her thoughtfulness regarding our dog, as well."
