"Property is at the end of downtown. It is a 2 minute walk to the free Bar Harbor trolley that can take you around town and even to the other side of the harbor. But downtown is all walkable from TugBoat. Our room was attached to the Tugboat which is the restaurant. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the shower has some of best water pressure I have ever experienced. Checkin was a breeze and the staff is very helpful in making sure you know your parking options and how to get to your room They provide a map of the property that has breakfast options around town We never had problems with parking at all. The views from our room were incredible as we were actually staying over the water "

"This welcoming cottage was a great home base for adventures in many directions. The living/dining/kitchen area was open and inviting, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prep and enjoy meals (loved the Nescafé machine!). The beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve encountered in our travels! Overall the cottage was clean, crisp, modern, and beautifully designed. Outside a spacious deck with a Weber grill and patio table allowed us to dine al fresco. And the fire pit was a peaceful place to end the day. The quiet environment away from the hustle and bustle was a wonderful place for us to relax in nature with our two dogs. We would love to visit again!"

"This was our first time staying in Boothbay. We loved our time on Barters Island. The house is very comfortable and clean. The dock and grounds are lovely. We rented kayaks and enjoyed exploring the area around the island. We visited nearby land trusts: Porter Point, Ovens Mouth, Oak Point Farm, and Florence Perkins Homestead. We recommend lunch at Newagan Inn and Cozy Dockside in Southport. Property managers were great, responsive and helpful. Thank you!"
