"The hotel is quiet with extensive areas for guests. The Leisure suite is excellent with sauna, steam room and a spacious, well equipped gym. Breakfast has lots of choice although the options have definitely been reduced since we were last there 6-8 years ago. Parking is plentiful and the views across the valley are beautiful. The hotel is a substantial building and in places it's becoming a bit tired. However, we slept extremely well without any noise or disturbance. The limited staff are extremely hard working and deserve praise for multi-tasking. It's an easy walk into town"

"Really nice room. Cosy bar and restaurant. The Four out of five for the staff because they sat around us chatting whilst we were having breakfast. It felt a little like we were in the way of their conversation. Dined here on two evenings and one breakfast. Very good meals apart from a massively overpriced “cauliflower steak” - ordered out of curiosity but I should have asked first. It was just a roasted head of cauliflower… and not that big a one, either, but the price didn’t reflect this! Very noisy at closing time and in the street outside. "

"The room was a decent size & the evening meal was really nice but the internet connection was terrible as my phone didn’t connect for the whole 2 nights we stayed there. Also the bathroom didn’t have a holder for the shower head which was very disappointing so really struggled to have a proper shower"
