Sugarloaf Motel suited our needs as we were attending a wedding at Flowerdale Estate. We stayed two nights and found the motel very comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable.The Reception area was very unimpressive.It gave a bad first impression so the clean room was a pleasant surprise. The amenity would be improved if there was some plants around, it is very bare in the parking area.

The owners were away and a caretaker lady was there. After we checked in we found the booklet and the breakfast menu, which we duly filled in for a 7.30 am breakfast. Then we could not find out a spot to hand it in as reception was closed. Lucky we suspected that breakfast was not available and we got some bread rolls instead from a bakery. It was when reception opened that the caretaker lady informed us breakfast was not available. This should have been explained on check in. Broadford is a small town with little amenities available in the early hours of the morning. Very poor communication.

Comfortable accommodation in quiet location.
Clean, comfortable accommodation, ideal when travelling through or going to the State Motorcycle Centre which is just a few minutes away. Traditional style motel, but presented in good condition, with helpful staff.
