Stylishly decorated, comfortable, centrally located 2 double bedroom garden flat offering large airy rooms with period Victorian features in a home-from-home setting.
Patio doors open up to a peaceful private garden with the added benefit of free off-road parking. Whilst enjoying a quiet setting, we're located within walking distance to lots of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants as well as good transport links.
Heatwave? No problem - nicely cool in the summer, but cosy and warm in the winter.
Private entrance leads to a large hallway with lots of storage and hanging space then on to 2 good sized bedrooms (1 x king size bedroom with optional baby/toddler cot and 1 x double bedroom), a good sized, well-stocked kitchen, modern shower room and a large lounge/dining room with double doors opening onto a quiet, landscaped garden with patio table and chairs to relax on.
With lots of mature fruit trees (if you stay at the right time of year you can even pick sweet plums from the tree), you can enjoy the sight and glorious smell of the spring blossom and often birdsong in the mornings.
Our kitchen is very well stocked with everything you might need to cook during your stay. We include tea, coffee, cookies, cooking oil, herbs and spices etc. You'll find all the basics here like kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, hob and dishwasher.
We have hot water on demand and the heating can be adjusted to suit your needs.
We have 2 very comfortable beds; one double and one kingsize, sleeping up to 4 people. Windows are double glazed with either shutters or blackout blinds to ensure a good quiet night's sleep.
Families with children are very welcome (we have a few kids books and toys on the bookshelf) and we provide a travel cot for babies (please request when booking). Extra babies/toddlers in ours or their own travel cots are welcome in addition to the 4 guests in the beds.
We provide some local guide books and a good few other books you are welcome to use or swap during your visit.
We have a welcome book in the kitchen with instructions for heating etc in the flat and also lots of ideas for local things to do and restaurants to walk to locally.
The closest supermarkets (Waitrose and Sainsbury’s) are just 5 minutes walk away and just a bit further are myriad grocers, delis, cafes and shops selling all sorts of local and international items.
If you would like to swim during your visit, Banatyne Gym is a few minutes walk from the front door and offers reasonably priced guest day passes (usually adults only although they do allow children at certain times). We also have a lovely swimming lake, lakeside sauna and inflatable waterpark just 20 mins drive away (West Country Waterpark) and an outdoor public Lido at Portishead.
We have a great local rackets club up the road providing tennis, padel and squash which can be booked by non-members.
If you love the great outdoors, we are short drive from many beautiful places for walks, cycling, sightseeing and adventure. Including Bath city, Herefordshire, The Cotswolds, Wye Valley and The Forest of Dean. We have a few guide books and maps to start you off but most up to date info/maps can be acquired (usually free) when you get there.
And if you fancy a local walk or run straight from the flat, The Downs is just up the road offering over 400 acres of open space.
