"Room was lovely, however the reception was never manned with staff smoking outside, everything just needs a lick of paint, no staff tidying in the spa leading to towels and cups everywhere, lifts out of order and water machines not working. Food and service in the Linden tree however was fantastic!"

"The cottage was very comfortable and cosy surrounded by fields and woodland, very quiet. The owner was very kind and checked with us to make sure everything was alright. The location was within easy distance of surrounding attractions and towns: Cragside, Alnwick, Wallington and coastal areas. The only issue we had was finding the cottage, our sat nav took us to the wrong turning, however we did find it and apparently it happens a lot."

"Great location to explore Northumberland. The static caravan isn't a lodge and it is starting to show signs of age with parts looking tired and beds uncomfortable. Cold in the winter months but we did go in December. Strong smell of dogs, granted it is a dog friendly accommodation, but not great if you don't have any. Hot tub is alright. Good hot water and shower. Could do with a few cupboards emptying of excess pint glasses so you can put your food and supplies in. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Croft. A couple of things we would have liked would be blinds on the windows that closed in the main room and blinds in the smaller rooms also a hair dryer would have been good. Very nice location road busy at peak times but soon dies down at night time. it is a good base for travelling with the coastal route and bamburgh all in easy reach , needs a bit of a spruce up inside in some parts but had everything required and was clean and tidy."

"A lovely modern cottage in a peaceful rural setting. We really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. As city dwellers, the narrow winding country lanes took a little getting used to, but the tranquillity at the end was well worth it. Our host was gracious, welcoming, and very helpful. Highly recommend! "

"Owl cottage is spacious in a great location and has a lovely home feel to it. We would definitely recommend it and are thinking of returning at a different time of the year. Our only suggestion would be to get some of the pot holes leading up to the cottage’s filled in."
