Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. Plenty of space and the cabin was very nice. But what really made it for us were the sunrises. The sunrises over the lake were absolutely beautiful. I recommend getting up early to watch them.
We had an amazing long weekend at the Private Log Cabin Lake House with a group of friends. The place truly has a proper cabin vibe—cozy, relaxing, and filled with lots of natural light throughout the day.The master bedroom was especially amazing, and the living room was perfect for hanging out, with a TV and plenty of board games to keep us entertained. We also loved the multiple seating areas for eating, which made group meals comfortable and fun.The overall atmosphere was calm and inviting, ideal for a low-key, chill weekend. Taylor(host) was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly, and getting in and out of the house was super easy.We only wish the weather had been a little better, but even then, we had a great time enjoying the cabin itself. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unplug, relax, and enjoy a true cabin experience with friends.
A quiet getaway in the woods with all the amenities of home.
This is a well-furnished cabin on a beautiful, peaceful lake in the north woods of Minnesota - perfect for recharging and enjoying nature. We would have enjoyed it even more if we had brought our own kayak or canoe to explore the lake (the cabin's canoe was not in great shape and it leaked).
We had a great time hanging out at this lakeside cabin as a base for our north shore excursions. Relaxing and quiet it was a great spot to grill burgers, fish, or enjoy a campfire from the outdoor fire pit with chairs. When it rained we had Netflix. The beautiful mornings when the lake was like glass found me gliding across the surface in the canoe at the dock, steam rising as loons called in the distance.

This is an amazing Minnesota find! Our family of six found the cabin on Stone Lake to be the perfect getaway before school starts back up. We spent hours on the lake everyday with the kayaks and paddleboat, fishing for northern pike - yellow gold spinners - and cruising as we watched the loons and bald eagles. Sitting on the small dock in the light breeze was incredibly relaxing.
Notable highlights - Sunrise AND Sunsets each day. We arrived on a Monday and had the entire lake to ourselves before the weekend. Kitchen was well stocked with the cooking utensils needed, although we traveled around the area and found options for dinner most days within 30 min. The screened in porch was a blessing as we relaxed inside.
Beds were WONDERFUL - we all slept very well.
Great communication with our hosts who were quick to respond to a few questions. f
Not sure about the fall, but in the summer, we were glad to have head nets and bug spray.
A fantastic family trip!

Great cabin with everything you need for a quiet cozy getaway.
We stayed with another couple, and having two bedrooms and two baths was great. This cabin is at the end of a road and super quiet. We lay out on the dock one afternoon, talking, and sat up to see an enormous bald eagle sitting in a nearby tree. Enjoyed walking and biking the neighborhood. We also stopped at Hugo's, the only business nearby. The friendly owner told us all about the Campground Fire last spring. Overall a great stay.
The cabin is back a quiet road with no basically no traffic so if you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this is perfect! Communication was great, check in was easy, furnishings were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, and it was very clean. It was incredibly spacious including two large beds in both bedrooms. The view of and accessibility to the lake were very nice. Nice property and nice owners made this a nice getaway.
We stayed at the property in late July and it was great. It feels pretty remote staying there, though you can see both neighbors, it is accurate to the photos. One thing it is missing is outdoor seating. There is a single small bench, but if you want to play some boardgames together outside by the lake, or even just eat lunch as a group, you are out of luck.
Aside from that, it is a nice property. Well kept, great view, quiet location.
