Pinery on the Sandy River

Cozy Cabin with Fireplace on Riverfront Property

Cozy Riverfront Cabin with Wood-Burning Fireplace, Lovely Deck, and Washer/Dryer

Impossibly cozy and picturesque, this charming cabin feels like a true getaway. Nestled near the banks of the rushing Sandy River, you’ll find yourself surrounded by firs and ferns — the perfect setting to hike, mountain bike, ski, snowshoe, or simply relax by the fire.

There’s recreation in every direction here, with Sandy Ridge mountain biking trails immediately north, world-class skiing to the east, and downtown Portland just a short drive west. Yet everything you need for a memorable escape is right here within this rustic home.

The interior is adorned with natural wood, including a beautiful staircase crafted from logs. There’s a wood-burning fireplace, a propane stove, and a mini-split heater to warm you after your adventures. There is also a hot shower, comfortable beds, and a private washer/dryer to keep things fresh and cozy.

The country kitchen offers all the modern conveniences (including a dishwasher) for when you’re not dining out at the Brightwood Tavern or Chicali Cantina.

Outside, you’ll find a deck built around the towering firs, complete with a gas grill and picnic table for al fresco meals. A private wooded path leads to the river’s edge, where you can relax in Adirondack chairs or roast s’mores at the fire pit after the sun goes down (outside burn bans permitting).

Everything one needs for a stay and a well stocked kitchen. Cozy vibes, and morning coffee by the river. Will return again.
