Self Contained Garden Studio With Private Decked Terrace, close to town and sea

  • Welcome to our Garden Studio - on arrival we will meet you and your complementary continental breakfast will be found in your kitchenette, along with a range of teas and coffee. Our self contained garden studio is attached to our home, a grade 11 listed rope-makers cottage. A private decked terrace adjoins and there is access to our spacious country garden. Allington is located a few minutes walk to Bridport town centre, close to the many restaurants, cafes and bars. The Wednesday and Saturday markets as well as bakeries, specialist shops and supermarkets. Live music in the local pubs and restaurants takes place year round. The Arts Centre and Electric Palace host a variety of styles of entertainment with international acts. Art and food are features of life in Bridport and St Michaels Vintage market is just around the corner. From our home you can walk the river Brid in the direction of West Bay passing the swimming pool and fitness centre, Palmers Brewery and across the field paths to West Bay and the South West costal path, just 1.5 miles. From the fishing port you can take a fishing or boat trip around the Jurassic coast.

Fantastic studio, close to the centre of Bridport. Julia and Paul were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Comfortable and clean, with lots of extras -highly recommend this hidden gem.

Dog friendly accommodation

We had a lovely stay here, Julia and Paul were very welcoming and friendly with useful information on walks and dog friendly pubs etc. Perfect for our needs with 2 dogs and would stay again if visiting this area.

Wow what a gorgeous garden cabin, so comfortable with the most amazing bed. The kitchen has everything you need with a lovely hot shower. Right in the heart of Bridport but tucked away in the oasis of a garden so really quiet. We will definitely go back as the owners are lovely and offer hypnotherapy, massage and yoga classes in their lovely studios.

This was a good holiday property with plenty of room for the two of us. The location was quiet and peaceful with shops nearby and West Bay, Lyme Regis. Poole etc within easy reach by car. There is on-street parking which was quite busy but we did always find a space close by. Helpful and caring hosts.

It is a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet but very close to all the shops etc. Well maintained, very welcoming and ideal for two people. Oasis in Bridport

When we first arrived, I must admit I had reservations. The area is a large housing estate.however, once you enter the garden and the property it is like an oasis. Very welcoming hosts, generous welcome pack including lovely fresh bread, butter and jams.

Tucked away and lovely

We stayed three night in the garden studio and it was great. We were provided lots of information prior to our arrival. Paul met us when we arrived and showed us around. The garden studio is lovely. Very comfortable bed room with a table and chairs. Well Stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils, a single ring camping cooker if you want to cook. They provided breakfast foods for us which was a lovely touch. We really liked it and the location is great, two minutes from the town centre. Great for a long weekend stay.

The Cabin

I phoned the host (Julia) when i was half an hour away. They came out to meet me and showed me in. She showed me where everything was. I had her number in case i needed something. The accomodation was spotless, lots of info regarding taxis etc. I was there for a wedding but wish i booked an extra couple of days. Can highly recommend this accommodation. Lovely hosts.

Summer holiday

Julia and Pall, the host, very welcoming. Garden Studio very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Welcome breakfast was provided. Tea & coffee available. Cleaning items. Bathroom just perfect with a shower. Great location, easy walking distance to centre of town. Parking can be a bit of an issue, but, there is free parking after 6pm at the police station, a 5 minute walk from the property. Thank you Julia and Paul for a fabulous stay. Will definitely be back.
