After conparing this property to an American version ( the same level ) ex. Super 8 in Cromwell, CT, i must admit the sheets, floors, and bathrooms ( including in the common areas) are crispy clean!!!

Horrible - dirty
We have stayed in BW hotels before and normally find them to be reliable. Not high end, but comfortable and clean. This BW is neither. It was filthy. Dirty marks all over the walls and doors, both in the room and the bathroom. There was black mould in the shower, a previous guest had drawn on the side of the sink with handsoap and it had not been wiped off. Scraps of toilet paper had been dampened and wrapped around the towel rail. The only good thing I can say about the place is that the bedding was clean, but then again the mattresses need replacing. Never again. It is worth pointing out that the external photo on hotels.com is not the hotel. The hotel is a 70s prefab build - it looks like an Ibis, but unfortunately isn't up to their standards. We alerted Hotels.com and received a reply that our concerns would be forwarded to the manager. We have heard nothing and nothing was said at check out.

The appearance of the photographed wall in this room is due, among other things, to the fact that a special spatula technique was used here, which gives the impression that the wall is dirty. Everything was pretty good, staff was very helpful and I appreciated being able to stash my suitcase for a few hours. Bathroom was a little out of date & smelled a little like someone had been smoking in there in the past. Fan didn’t seem to work very well despite being very loud.

Overall excellent.
This hotel is excellent. From check in to checkout it has everything you need. Check in staff were efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and interested. Rooms are spacious, very clean, windows that actually open. Very good shower and coffee facilities. Breakfast is excellent. This is my first choice when in the area

One of the best Best Westerns.
Staff was super accommodating and kind. They gave us a luggage room which allowed us to leave our belongings and freshen up before check-in. Front desk staff was extremely friendly. The room itself was fairly unimpressive, but looking at the price, location, and remodeling in the hotel it was fine. Great location.

Nice location.
The hotel is so close to the train station and to the Altes Rathaus and churches (Christmas market), along with many restaurants and shops. The bed and room were comfortable. The shower was a hassle because it was 'open' and water went everywhere. The internet was out during my stay (2 nights).

We were a group of three. We were able to have two separate beds: a pull out sofa, and bedroom. The first night we arrived late and the only room available had the bathroom through the bedroom. The next day they moved us to another suite . That one had an entrance to the bathroom from the living room area making it far more comfortable. I learned all the suites are slightly different. Make sure to request one that suits you if you plan to share. I really appreciated the hotels willingness to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

the property was situated right in the centre of everything, could not ask for a better location. The staff were very accommodating, even though the noise from "SOME IDIOT'S LOUD MUSIC', throughout my stay

No safe. Fridge, but it was permanently turned off and cold items had to be given to the front desk to put in their fridge. No bedside tables. Blocks of wood were provided instead and these all had huge cracks in them.

That's correct, due to a lack of demand from the guests we stopped using the minibar in the hotel rooms (the small fridge you mentioned).Instead we offer drinks and snacks from the big vending machine in our lobby and also store everything the guests might need to cool in our fridge at the front desk ( Which you can also access 24/7). Comfortable old style hotel with professional staff. Excellent location near train station and old town. My twin room was compact but with a smart layout and all the amenities, felt very spacious. Ample wardrobe space and suitcase stand, desk area, tea/coffee service. Oversized bathroom with all amenities. This would be an excellent base for a longer stay.

Unfriendly impression
The receptionist upon our arrival was very unfriendly. I have never come across a more arrogant hotel staff member in all my life. She was very arrogant to my son when she made him fill out a check-in form, she was reluctant to give advice on car parking. The water in the shower was cold. Would be ok if it was a 2 star hotel but it’s not. The breakfast was good and the young gentleman in the reception on the morning after when we checked out was very kind.
