"Fantastic welcome from friend and very helpful receptionist. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Bed especially comfortable provided an excellent night’s sleep. Breakfast however was a little disappointing annd not very good value especially for vegetarians. While there was a good range of bread, the choice of cereal was limited to sweet things aimed at children and a horrible instant porridge. Could have done better on fruit too. Reasonable convenient for the train station and places to eat...

"Lovely hotel, room, setting. Clean and spacious room. Although bad part was booking a table for a meal. After speaking to what looked like the bar manager he says 7pm so we had a drink at the bar to wait. He suggested nibbles which we had and got charged over the top for them 7pm came and went and we enquired if our table was ready at 7.20pm. he shrugged us off and ignored us after this so we ended up leaving at 7.45 to find a restaurant elsewhere. Rude man."
