"I checked out after seeing my room. The owner refused to refund my money! The facility was not updated as advertised. The pictures where staged. The appearance of the room was not even close except for the wallpaper behind the bed! I had to drive further down to stay at the Days Inn which was much nicer. Advice to future travels, keep driving! Very dirty!"

The parking lot for hiking Stairway to Heaven was a 2 minute drive from the motel. If you stay here in the winter, it is only a 5 minute drive from Mountain Creek ski resort. We would stay here again."

"The setting of the Shawnee Inn is idyllic. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the ability to enjoy nature envelopes you wherever you walk. There are several restaurants and venues to choose from to get a bite to eat, have a drink (alcoholic or non), or enjoy a bit of music (something going on pretty much every night). The Inn itself is a bit weathered and could use some painting and minor repairs here and there. The history of the Inn and its owners surrounds you constantly. For me, this connection to history is well worth the trade-off for a bit of rust and peeling paint. The staff could not be more accommodating. We were greeted with a smile and a warm greeting by everyone we encountered."
