"We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is stunning and the cottage was a great base to explore all of this. The cottage is...

"Comfortable place to stay while exploring the counties of Silgo and Mayo. Slept like a queen in the wonderful bed, room overlooking a peaceful pasture and rolling landscape. Efficient little kitchen and large living room with a stove (pellet) to take the chill out of the cool spring nights. Host Sheila picked me up at the train station and was a wealth of information about the area. Wished I'd lingered longer....."

"Sometimes you come across a place that deserves 6 stars and this is one of those places. Incredible location with an incredible host, thanks Gillian and family for looking after us for our two week stay. We already miss this cottage and can't wait to get back. Deer in the garden (if your up early enough), horse's to feed and birds to listen to. Relax infront of the fire with a book or make use of the strong wifi in every room. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you might need. A true...

"the property was ideal for our visit, in particular the en-suite bedroom on the ground floor for our 92 year old mother. Raymond was very helpful and patient with our check-in since circumstances meant that we could not be sure of when we would arrive."

HOUSE OF IRELAND, pet friendly in Easkey, County Sligo

8.0 out of 10, Very good, (2)
"The house itself was great. Lots of room and comfortable. They location is on a small dirt road which made it a bit awkward. The problem came with the heat. Had a cold week , low to mid 40s and the house inside wss set at 17.. about 63 degrees. We asked about raisi t the heat heat the answer was no. Heat is controled by owner. So we spent our evenings in sweater and jacket. Felt untrusted. We left several days early"
