Idle for walking. In the centre of the 3peaks

  • The cottage is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the heart of the famous Three Peaks Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, offering some of the finest walking country in the UK . Settle to Carlisle railway runs near the cottages, station being only 10 minutes walk away. The attractive town on Settle, 6 miles away and the picturesque Dales town on Hawes 15 miles away. The area is also well known for its Pot Holing, Alum Pot being 3 miles. White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls being a shot car journey. The village has two puiblic houses, The Crown and The Golden Lion both within walking distance. The beautiful St. Oswald church is at the south end of the village and is well worth a visit
