There are some gorgeous walks along the promenade, whichever way you choose. Mudeford sandspit can also be accessed via ferry from the Avon Beach Mudeford Car Park.
To the north-east of the apartment, The New Forest is fairly close by — with its gorgeous towns and villages dotted throughout, and incredible scenery and wildlife. Lymington Town runs its own weekly Saturday market along its long high street and is well worth a visit. Christchurch is another historic coastal town and lovely area to explore.
