Spend a day on picturesque Bouley Bay, one of the prettiest corners of Jersey’s stunning coastline. The large beach here faces a placid bay, surrounded by rocky, green headland. Visit to watch the waves from a beachside café or come to enjoy watersports, hiking and boat rides with stunning views of Jersey.
Swim in the waters of the bay or sunbathe on the fine pebbles in one of the warmest parts of the British Isles. Bring a net to the numerous rock pools around the edges of the beach and search for miniature crabs and other marine life. Eager and patient birdwatchers may spot puffins flying over the waves.
A dive centre located on the beach offers excursions out onto the ocean, for both beginners and experienced divers. Take a boat ride to the stunning Les Ecrehous islands and keep your eyes on the water to spot seals and dolphins. The watersports operators also offer stand-up paddleboarding, a fun way to explore the ocean.
Follow the walking trails that lead from the beach out along the headland, to the tallest cliffs on the island. The historic Fort Leicester, which now serves as holiday accommodation, lies to the west by the harbour wall. Hike east for a quiet walk along the rocky coastline, past L’Etacquerel Fort and all the way to the car park at White Rock. This pleasant trek takes about an hour.

Bouley Bay is located on the northern coast of Jersey in the parish of Trinity. Drive here in about 20 minutes from the centre of St. Helier and park by the edge of the water or use the local bus service to reach the area. Come on a Hill Climb day to watch various vehicles race up the hills around the bay.
