"Traveled with my daughter to Svolvær. We had a balcony room which I would say is a must, far better to be able to relax above the water and watch the boats go by than to look over a parking lot. The room and en suite were both comfortable and spacious enough that the two of us did not feel cramped. I would love to know what the mattresses were made of. Throughout Norway all of them were the same three inch thick material but immensely comfortable. Seemed like a very green choice. The staff was welcoming and helpful during check in and out and any time we had a question. We ate the breakfast buffet once, it had extensive fresh and delicious choices, well worth the price. Overall A+ accomidations."

" Big room with pretty small bathroom. There is no reception at night. Breakfast quality wasn’t great, and we only had yogurt. The hotel is in a quiet and darker area of the town 10 min walk from the centre. Best located to see northern light (you can literally see them from the area near the hotel), but you need to walk to the centre for food. "

"Charging for when you are staying there is insane. 2 times we came for dinner and the restaurant was closed because of private functions and this was not communicated until you came for dinner. "

Seeing the Northern Lights for the first time in our lives — right from our cabin — was absolutely thrilling and unforgettable. The location was excellent, and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again."
