The Festival of the Cranes happens sometime in November (the weekends change) but you can go anytime between Nov - February to experience the sunrise takeoff. There are so many birds the vibration of their wings feels like bass from a speaker. This is one of the most amazing moments I've had with nature. Be sure to dress warm and in layers - as the day progresses it gets warmer. Bring some coffee or tea to keep you going.
