At check-in, Laura and Anita were very helpful when accommodating my disabled mother - I needed a ground level room because she cannot manage stairs. There is no elevator on this property. On Saturday, Mickey, the maintenance man, was more interested in watching the movie on the television in the lobby. One of the housekeepers had to ask him to open the pool room for another guest who tried the keypad several times. It appeared that she was locked inside then, because he had to come back and let her out from the lobby side. On Sunday, at checkout time, Haley and Mickey stood outside smoking/vaping and chatting. I rang the bell at the desk as instructed on the sign. Haley looked at me standing at the desk, yet did not come back inside. After several minutes, I had to go ask her if she was supposed to be at the desk, and if I could check out. Mickey said in a very rude voice, "That's what the bell is for." I told him I did ring the bell. ( By the way, the bell sounds like a doorbell that chimes twice, and it is very loud, probably because the laundry room is close to the desk.) Haley saw me loading my car, she saw me park in the portico facing the main road, she saw me walk in to the lobby with no bags, at 10:35 AM, she saw me standing at the desk. From context, that should have been enough to conclude that I was checking out. I have no reason for future business in the area, so there is no chance that I will ever return to this property for another stay.
