Beautiful little hotel. Great breakfast and their lunch’s and dinner were wonderful. I was fortunate to look over their patio on the river. Right in the centre of town and they were helpful in explaining places to go. A wonder experience.
All staff is amazing - very friendly and willing to assist.

Building nice rest so/so
Nice location and characterful building but service wasn't great felt like we were an inconvenience, Strange pre-booking breakfast experience not allowing flexibility and dont know why we had to pre-order cereal, toast and juice, presumably things in stock anyway.
We had a great stay at the riverside hotel last july. The room we stayed in was overlooking the river. The staff were execptional and the breakfast was superb. Definitely worth a come back.
Excellent location...parking in a nearby public car park...cheaper rates paid through hotel...great breakfasts & evening meals ... we had room 15 which was huge & overlooked the river... would definately stay here again
We stayed two nights, and we were very pleased with everything. From check in the staff were helpful, the room clean and quite spacious, big bath room. tea and coffee in the room. The water is so clear (compared to our water near London), breakfast was great, really enjoyed the haddock and the salmon and eggs. Boscastle is a lovely little town, you can easily walk up to the top of the neighbouring cliffs for a nice view of the ocean.

Room was very dated and old fashioned. No car parking facilities other than paying in local car park. Due to war out for less scheme when we arrived, we couldn’t get in anywhere to eat. Found one chip shop that did food until 9pm
So got a pizza and sat in the room.
No air con or fan and heat was overwhelming at times. Staff said we couldn’t have a fan due to COViD but last three hotels all supplies one in room. Staff were lovely and the best bit about the stay. The girl who served us breakfast in the morning was lovely and an asset to the business.
Great little B n B. Very attentive and friendly staff who were full of advice for a walking trip along the coast. Brealfast was lovely, can't wait to go back
Long climb up to the top floor but the room was very up to date and warm considering a cold February wind was blowing. Our breakfast was included and had great choices and excellent quality. Parking is a short walk away and needs to be paid separately.
Excellent location. My room had everything I needed and was very comfortable. The host went out of his to accommodate for an early morning start by providing breakfast snacks.
Lovely stay but could do with a heated towel rail in bathroom so one didn’t need to recycle towels everyday as otherwise they were damp ! Otherwise all lovely

The Riverside
Tasty breakfast served to you but on the small portion size. No Reception as such. The Riverside is a Restaurant with Rooms but not a Hotel. The waitress/front of house/bar lady wanted to speak to my husband rather than myself and I booked the stay, which I thought was rather rude. The Riverside is in a good location but needs some refurbishment and a good clean.
Excellent stay. Disappointed because the description of room said looking over the river... only if you stood in the bath in the bathroom.... hotel needs to review this.

The sound of the running water helped put these weary travelers to a sound sleep. The room was clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable. Wi-fi was iffy but we were likely far from the signal source. Breakfast was delicious. We would love to return.
