Best Western in Borneo from NZ$63

Clean, quiet frendly staff food was very good

This was our 2nd stay and it didn’t disappoint. Both times we have stayed 1 night as a stop over between flights. The service is excellent, friendly, helpful and welcoming. You get the feeling nothing would be too much trouble. We were also given a surprise upgrade this trip, which was very welcome for our family of 3. The room so cosy and lux. The bed is super soft and comfortable which is just what you need after a long day of travelling, and the bathroom is generous and modern with a large...

A very good hotel in Sandakan, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. We had dinner at the Poolside restaurant and the food was amazing (as were the staff). The gym was well equipped, and the rooms comfortable with good bedding. I wouldn’t stay anywhere definitely stay here again

The communication was prompt, accurate, and polite full. Staff assisted by carrying out luggage upstairs, and is happy and polite. The massage chair was an amazing addition to our stay. In the heart of all shops. Will definitely book with them again.

AC residence isn't what you expect from your normal hotel stay. There is no hotel lobby, there is no reception as it's located on the third floor of shophouses. However don't let it fool you! We arrived after midnight due to flight delays, yet when we messaged the property, we were immediately welcomed at the door. Once inside, we were shown to our room which was pleasantly quite spacious! It was simple but yet so cosy. The room was also really clean and tidy. Getting around was quite easy as...

Great place, great staff, everyone very friendly and helpful. They packed breakfast and lunches for us when we couldn't make the times or were out and generally helped. However, it is a distance from the town so guided tours often charge extra for the 30min to pick you up. On the other hand, its only 10 min from the Santubong Mountain trek (about 3hrs to peak one way with 2 waterfalls on the way). Great food and even better unique cocktails from the Cambodian mixologist (forgotten his name...

Great resort. Loved it and would happily return. Would Not choose rasa ria for wildlife (see it elsewhere) but a useful add on. Pools and food great

The Sultan of Brunei's brother, Prince Jefri, once owned the Empire Hotel and Country Club.Unfortunately Prince Jefri misappropriated 15 billion dollars of Government money and so the Sultan confiscated the palace and kicked Prince Jefri out of the country for 10 years and the Palace was turned into a 5* Hotel and Country Club. My husband and I had 4 days at the Hotel but what an experience. Our transfer from the airport went smoothly and the check-in at the desk was warm and inviting. We were...

Great location - close to all amenities and the waterfront Great roof top pool although very overpriced food in the restaurants. Great staff Would definitely recommend

All very nice
