Loon lake hard to find
Map quest and google take you on unnecessary routes into the cabin. We got there in the dark and after being instructed to drive into the woods on dirt road we came into someones back yard. Noticed one small sign nailed to post pointing in "assumed" direction to go. No lights, very dark and even when we found the house no lights were left on or hey how about a solar night light over the door?. Need a welcome book too listing what's what and where inside items are located

This is a place for renewal. Tranquil, beautiful, and spacious. The house has everything you need and really comfortable. Brand new everything, yet homey. The views from the windows are amazing. You are right on the lake. Close to trails. Porter’s Preserve is a great hike 1.6 miles away with fantastic views. Kayaking on site. Pinkam’s Market and Hannaford’s for grocery shopping. Boothbay Harbor an easy 6 minute drive. Coastal Maine Botanical Garden- a must- is a 3 min drive. My favor part was sitting on the private dock outside our door drinking tea and hearing the loons beautiful sounds. We will definitely return!

Even had a slight "new" odor when we opened the door
Great location for mid-coast Maine exploration. The lake was beautiful and kayaks/canoe were available to explore as well as a private dock. The fire pit was perfect and saw quite a bit of use. There's a Hannaford's a couple of miles away along with a large number of restaurants, etc. close by in Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, and Wiscasset. There are an immense number of hiking trails in the area in the in various "preserves" along with water activities, shopping, etc. The house comfortably sleeps 6 with two separate bedrooms downstairs and a cozy upstairs area with two beds for kids or adults. Appliances and furniture were new and higher end and worked well. Bedding and towels were excellent and clean and the house was very well equipped leaving us wanting nothing during the stay. The place was surgically clean when we arrived-- never actually seen any rental that clean before. I spoke briefly with the owner while there and she was very helpful and friendly. We didn't need anything, but she offered any assistance we needed. For mid-coast Maine, we'd book this again without hesitation and likely will for next year.
