Good location but overpriced. At this price point and Airbnb offers better value. The room was tired looking and the bathroom looked clean but the presence of the previous occupants' hair on the sink and walls was not great. I can forgive the cockroach in the bathroom because Australia.

Rydges Canberra is older than the other hotels near the national circuit. The fitness centre is in very poor condition and is decades old with some of the machines in broken state. The rooms are a mix of updated fixtures and run-down furniture. The room I stayed in had a coffee table that was so wobbly that I could not place a drink on it for fear of it falling over. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom amenities were good, but there was mild visible in the shower tiles and floor.

Issues with the internet, tv is connected to a secret wifi that guests cannot access, has to logged in by staff who have to enter the password manually in the room.

The staff were helpful and nice. The room was in average condition, the bathroom and kitchen in sore need of an update with a temperamental shower. I stayed in an executive apartment which was spacious and airy with a balcony. It was expensive for the quality of accomodation. The area is very convenient with plenty of bars and restaurants but with single glazing the property is not for the light sleeper.

As others have said, the rooms are a bit worn, but I think the price reflects that. The location is excellent and our communication with the property before our stay was excellent regarding parking and fold out couch. We will definitely consider staying here again for future trips to Canberra.
