"You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Galle than this. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time. I loved all the thoughtful touches of a cold juice when you arrive, flowers on the best and them putting on the ac before we arrived so we could arrive to a cool room. Free tea and coffee all day and the use of a fridge and freezer was amazing. Staff were also wonderful and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. "

"Beautiful old Dutch house, lovely balcony with view of the fort walls and the sea beyond. View west to the setting sun. Swimming spot within three minutes walk. Good fan and AC. Good size room and bathroom. Very nice breakfast at a nearby property. Management and staff very helpful in a pleasant reserved way. Excellent value. Highly recommended."

"It was wonderful stay for our family of 5. You just cant beat the beach location!! Also the room, though not fancy, was spacious and clean. We had lots of room for the kids to spread out and sleep/play. The food was yummy and the owners truly cared if we were happy with our stay. We would gladly go back again!"

"It’s odd that the main concern here is asking travellers to pay for their stay the moment they arrive/walk back in to the property/constantly. Payment on check-put is the norm and it’s strange to continually stay in places like this in Sri Lanka where they’re just obsessed with money. We’re all going to pay you for our stays - that’s normal. Please just let us be here and enjoy and pay on departure - which is standard. "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"Villa Kusum ligger perfekt. Strax utanför Hikkaduwa kan gå annars tar man en Tuktuk. Frukosten var mycket bra. Familjen som arbetade var mycket gästvänliga, hjälpte till med allt vad vi önskade. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende. Hälsningar från Thomas o Pia som gärna kommer tillbaka"

It’s a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning, you can even check the surf at fisherman‘s reef from the garden. The accommodation is modest, simple, but comfortable. "Basic guesthouse right by the fort wall and close to everything in Galle fort. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. It could do with a lick of paint and refurbishment which were make it a much nicer place to stay."

"The hotel has a great view and its garden is connected to the beach. Friendly owner offered nice breakfast everyday. The owner’s friend comes to offer yoga, massage and diving. problem is the narrow and busy street next to it, making the place too noisy to have a relaxing sleep. "
