The communications, check in and out processes and overall property were excellent!!! The only negative was the firepit on the property, which was located directly along the woods, overgrown and bird droppings on the chairs. We used the community fire pit, which wasn't a big deal. It was super close and very clean. Overall, I highly recommend!!!
The house is very nice. Just as described on line. Very convenient to town and amenities. We did have an issue at check in and had to stand in the rain for an hour trying to get inside. Also had a backed up shower drain but that was taking care of same day. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.
We had a wonderful time at Moonlight view! We visited with our three kids (ages 8months to 7 yrs old). We most enjoyed the river and fished every day (we saw lots of trout, but unfortunately, they were not biting). We loved the private neat community, and the location to town. The home was clean and cozy, the hot tub was great and we had everything we needed to cook every meal at "home". The beds were comfy, however like another review, we also would have preferred duvets on the bed instead of comforters. We hope to visit again soon!
My husband, dogs, and I had a wonderful 2-week escape in this rental t the Lodges of Eagles Nest. The house was very clean and well-equipped and organized. It is a small space, but overall very comfortable. The hot tub and the deck were just lovely, as well as the surrounding grounds which were beautifully landscaped, and we loved walking the dogs around the lake and by the river. We did so many fun waterfall hikes and other adventures, saw lots of wildlife (bear, deer, chipmunks, groundhogs) and ate at so many yummy places (especially Over Yonder and Tin Trout). My only suggestion for a rental is that they use duvet covers instead of comforters, and ditch the furry pillows and poufs - just not great choices for a rental, but AWESOME otherwise!
Clean, cute, perfect little cabin for my husband and me. The place was just perfect for our short trip to Banner Elk! I highly recommend and we would stay again.
This was an Excellent, clean, quaint property for my sister & brother-in-law. We were married in another cabin up there and this was a perfect location for family to stay. Near the entrance, so no issues with traveling up & down the hills along with easy access. They had the cabin beautifully decorated for Christmas, as well.
Loved everything about Moonlight View. Very clean, wonderful decor and furnishings, community setting along the river, access to Eagle's Nest, proximity to Banner Elk and Beach Mountain restaurants, side by side rental from Off-Road Adventures, and more. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals really took care of us. Highly recommended!

Really nice quiet getaway
Absolutely enjoy our stay and it was great location close to the mountain for skiing and snowboarding.
Only problem we had was the directions to the actual cabin. They didn't specifically specify which side you were supposed to go on. But we did eventually end up finding it
This is a great property. Has everything you could possibly need. Everything was clean, neat and in working order. Very nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Perfect location. Wish we could have had more time than just the weekend. Met some lovely property owners and we are thinking about purchasing their other cottage in this community. Just a few minutes from Banner Elk and Beech. Will stay again - if we don't buy one first!
Lovely place to stay, a little room for improvement
Absolutely stunning resort, and the cabin is in a great spot. Overall, very clean; but a few opportunities to improve. Way too many emails sent for the stay; you'll have to really dig through and find the map to the resort property, in order to enjoy. Also, unit has a pull out sofa, but we could not find sheets; property management failed to return two voicemails to help us find them. Fortunately, my three year old thought sleeping on the ground was fun. Note that the toy barn is under construction, however toys are available in a bin nearby. Also, archery supplies need to be repaired/replaced and we weren't convinced the pond was well-stocked. We were still able to enjoy ourselves and loved the concert on Saturday. This place has great potential, but needs to dial in on the details.
Everything was perfect about our stay. Such a beautiful place and well kept property. Loved the Christmas decorations, the hot tub, and the coffee. Nice amenities like the washer and dryer too! Will be coming back for sure!
Our stay was great! Location allowed easy access to Beech and Sugar for snowboarding. Kitchen was well stocked with the necessary utensils and cooking devices. We had no problem cooking dinners and making breakfast. We did take out BBQ from a Banner Elk joint one night and it was easy to go pick up. Only drawback is they only offer a Keurig for making coffee. Well at least we never saw another coffee maker or French press. That was not detailed in the description so we could not make (good) coffee in the AM. Yes, laugh at my coffee snobbery but in the early AM light with snowflakes falling outside well made coffee would have enhanced the experience.
Hot tub was easy to use, gas fireplace made the whole place rather hot actually. The sleeping and eating arrangements were perfect for a family of four on a ski trip.
This is a great place for a couple or family of 4. There are limited properties that are pet friendly so this was great for our small dog, lots of grass area to exercise. We had no issues checking in or with access to the gated community, very easy and safe. The cabin has just about everything you need. We did find a few things needed/missing in the kitchen: grill tools, large stock pot, pot holder, cereal bowls and dish towels. Since we did most meals in (still during COVID) these were more noticeable. There are lots of activities to do within Eagles Nest: fishing, hiking, play area for kids, ATV, sit by the fire in the evening, great hot tub that is private on your deck and Saturday night concert. Wifi and Roku were reliable our entire 10 days. We would definitely recommend and go back to this cabin!
